Collagen Induction Therapy – $169 per session

Collagen Induction Therapy is also Dermal Needling, in that is uses tiny needles to induce micro injury with aim of stimulating the bodies natural repair processes.  Collagen Induction Therapy at Puhoi Beauty & Spa is performed using the latest technology dermal pen.  The treatment involves inserting micro needles down to the depth of the dermis and can go as deep as 3 mm into the skin and then applying products to specifically target regeneration of collagen. The rationale behind this treatment is that immediately after an injury occurs to the skin, the body removes the damaged collagen, elastin and other structures which are then replaced by new components. The result is smoother, firmer and younger looking skin.

You will notice that your skin is more radiant the next day after treatment, but you will generally begin to see results after 6-8 weeks and will continue to gain benefits over the next 6 months.

This treatment takes 20 minutes and will cover one area (ie face,neck or hands), but please allow 30 minutes for appointment time. This treatment is best performed as a series of 3 treatments completed 8 weeks apart. Some clients like to have 6 treatments in a series and this can be discussed at the time of your consultation. In order to achieve maximum collagen reproduction you will need to be using Medik8 products before having this treatment so that you skin will be able to cope with the healing task at hand. The minimum Medik8 products you will need to be using prior to a series of needling sessions is an AHA or Latic Acid cleanser, Retinol 6TR, C Tetra Serum, home roller – these products are part of the package found on the packages page. The cost of each needling treatment is $169 per session. If you book 3 sessions the price includes a mini Red Alert Cleanser and Mini Healing Balm for use 48 hours post treatment. Numbing cream can be applied at an additional charge 0f $40, however you will find that the treatment is bearable without it.
