Puhoi Beauty and Spa Client Policies
Puhoi Beauty & Spa deeply values its clients, they are our number one priority, and are the reason that we can’t wait to get up each day. We aim to have every client leave the salon feeling nourished, refreshed, relaxed, and cared for. The policies outlined here support this philosophy and are made clear so that all parties know what to expect at Puhoi Beauty & Spa. By booking an appointment or purchasing an item from Puhoi Beauty & Spa, you agree to the following policies.
This is a living document and may be updated at any time. Pricing, Specials, Discounts & Gift Vouchers: Prices are keep purposefully low so that everyone can afford to treat and care for themselves.
Puhoi Beauty & Spa does not discount treatments but does occasionally offer specials to celebrate an event. Special Offers & Gift Vouchers may only be used within the allocated time frame (no extensions can be provided) and cannot be transferred to another person or redeemed for cash. Gift Vouchers may be used for alternative treatments or to purchase products at the discretion of Puhoi Beauty & Spa. Appointment Timings: Time frames allocated for appointments are specific so that Puhoi Beauty & Spa can continue to offer top quality treatments at reasonable prices.
Time frames for treatments include welcoming clients into the salon, getting onto the bed, consultations, treatments, aftercare advice, payment, leaving procedures, and resetting the room. Puhoi Beauty & Spa wants all clients to feel great and we would never want a client to feel pressured or guilty if they are late for appointment, we will do our best to work around the time constraints but the treatment will need to finish on time so that the next client is not impacted and the treatment will be invoiced in full. Treatments: All treatments use top quality products and are tailored to individual needs to provide unique experiences and meet clients changing needs, treatments may vary from client to client and from appointment to appointment.
You are welcome to request additional services during a treatment and we will do our best to accomodate you within the timeframe we have available, the additional treatment will be added to your invoice. All treatments must be paid in full at the time of the treatment. If you are ever unhappy with a treatment please speak to us directly, we only ever you want you to feel great, and will strive to achieve this for you. Cancellations and No-Shows: We certainly understand that life happens and cancellations will occur, please don’t feel guilty about changing or cancelling appointments. Puhoi Beauty & Spa politely requests 24 hours notice of an appointment cancellation (via facebook, email or phone) so that we can operate optimally.
If less than 24 hours notice is given of a cancellation, or you do not turn up for your treatment, we reserve the right to invoice for 50% of the treatment. Refunds: Retail items can only be refunded if unused, in its original packaging, and presented with a receipt within 14 calendar days of purchase. In some situations, a restocking fee may be charged. Refunds will be issued in Salon Credit only. Health & Safety: There are a number of hazards to be aware of at Puhoi Beauty & Spa, including but not limited to: creek at the back of the property; cars driving in; horses & dogs on site; step up onto salon path; step up into salon; candles burning in salon; hot wax and towel cabinet on at all times; hazardous chemicals including flammable liquids.
Things you need to aware of: there is a fire extinguisher and a procedure flip chart by the salon entrance; a fire blanket by the treatment room sink; and a first aid kit in the top drawer of the reception desk marked with a first aid cross. We are all responsible for each others safety and we request that you notify us of any hazards immediately. If there is a fire please leave calmly via the marked exit, or if this is blocked, by the alternative exit and wait at the designated assembly area by the arena. If there is an earthquake please remain inside and stand in either the office or bathroom doorway.
All clients and visitors are required to sign the Health & Safety Register on their first visit to the salon, and to fill in an Online Consultation Form declaring any injuries or issues related to: heart; blood; breathing; diabetes; or contagious diseases, and to declare any illnesses, allergies, pregnancy, or current medications. We are unable to treat clients under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Puhoi Beauty & Spa is a professional salon, if a client is behaving inappropriately we reserve the right to stop the treatment and to ask the client to leave. Children: Puhoi Beauty & Spa welcomes your children, we ask that they remain in your sight at all times, and advise that you are responsible for them and their safety at all times. Unlike other salons, we do encourage treatments of children under the age of 18 (it is important for them to learn to look after their wellbeing too) and they must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian Privacy: Every client has the right to privacy and confidentiality and any conversations you have with your therapist will remain confidential, as will your treatment, personal information, and health history.
Client and email lists are confidential and we do not share these lists with outside companies. We collect the following client information to support treatments and provide positive treatments and shopping experiences: health information; personal details; identifiable information absolutely necessary for transactions, treatments or our internal records; any information associated with your connection to our website including your IP address, operating system, Web browser, and page visits; email addresses of those who communicate with us via email; financial information such as a credit card number for online sales, used for order processing only.
